Ingredients
Serves: 1
1 oz Southern Comfort
1 oz sloe gin
1 oz amaretto
2 oz orange juice (fresh is best)
Ice (for shaking and serving)
Maraschino cherry (for garnish)
Orange slice (for garnish)
Optional: red sugar for rimming the glass
Instructions
(Optional) Rim your glass: Run an orange wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip it in red sugar for a fun, colorful finish.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Pour in Southern Comfort, sloe gin, amaretto, and orange juice.
Shake well for 10–15 seconds until the drink is nicely chilled and slightly frothy.
Fill your glass with fresh ice.
Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of orange.
Serve immediately and enjoy your Southern sip of sunshine!
Notes
Fresh juice makes all the difference. If you have time to squeeze oranges, do it—you’ll taste the freshness in every sip.
No sloe gin on hand? Sub with raspberry liqueur or a fruity vodka to keep the cocktail balanced and delicious.
Making a batch for a party? Multiply the ingredients by the number of guests, mix in a pitcher (without ice), and chill until ready to serve. Just shake individual portions with ice before pouring for best results.
Want it less sweet? Dial back the amaretto a bit or use unsweetened orange juice to bring out more tartness.
