Ingredients
-
1 box (3.4 oz) banana instant pudding mix
-
1 cup cold milk
-
½ cup spiced or dark rum
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
½ cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
-
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
-
Banana slices (optional, for garnish)
-
Mini plastic cups with lids (2 oz size recommended)
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the banana instant pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until it starts to thicken.
-
Add the spiced or dark rum, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Whisk again until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
-
Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until fully combined and fluffy—don’t overmix.
-
Spoon or pipe the pudding mixture into mini plastic cups. Fill each one nearly to the top.
-
Seal with lids if prepping ahead, and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until the pudding is fully set.
-
Just before serving, garnish with banana slices or a swirl of whipped cream if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
-
Use cold milk to help the pudding set properly—don’t use warm or room temp.
-
Want a tropical twist? Use coconut rum instead of spiced rum.
-
Make them a day ahead for best flavor and texture—the chill time only makes them better!
-
Banana slices can brown over time, so add those garnishes right before serving.
-
You can easily double the recipe for larger crowds—just use a big mixing bowl and more cups!
