Description

Banana Rum Cream Pudding Shots are your new party favorite—creamy, rich, and spiked with just the right kick of spiced rum! These no-bake dessert shots come together in minutes, chill beautifully, and serve up sweet banana flavor with a boozy twist. Perfect for holidays, girls’ nights, BBQs, or anytime you want to bring a little mischief to the dessert table. Make them ahead and serve chilled for instant smiles!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) banana instant pudding mix

  • 1 cup cold milk

  • ½ cup spiced or dark rum

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Banana slices (optional, for garnish)

  • Mini plastic cups with lids (2 oz size recommended)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the banana instant pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until it starts to thicken.

  2. Add the spiced or dark rum, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Whisk again until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until fully combined and fluffy—don’t overmix.

  4. Spoon or pipe the pudding mixture into mini plastic cups. Fill each one nearly to the top.

  5. Seal with lids if prepping ahead, and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until the pudding is fully set.

  6. Just before serving, garnish with banana slices or a swirl of whipped cream if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use cold milk to help the pudding set properly—don’t use warm or room temp.

  • Want a tropical twist? Use coconut rum instead of spiced rum.

  • Make them a day ahead for best flavor and texture—the chill time only makes them better!

  • Banana slices can brown over time, so add those garnishes right before serving.

  • You can easily double the recipe for larger crowds—just use a big mixing bowl and more cups!
