Description

These Beach Cabana Jello Shots are layered tropical treats made with pineapple-orange and pink lemonade jello, spiked with coconut rum and whipped vodka. Bursting with beachy colors and fruity flavor, they’re perfect for summer parties, BBQs, or any occasion that calls for sunshine in a cup. Vibrant, boozy, and so fun to make—get ready to wow your guests!

Ingredients

Scale

Bottom Layer (Tropical Yellow)

  • 1 box (3 oz) orange or peach flavored jello

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • ½ cup pineapple juice

  • ½ cup raspberry tea or watermelon juice

  • 1 tbsp guarana syrup or energy drink (optional)

  • 1 cup coconut rum or peach vodka

Top Layer (Sunset Pink)

  • 1 box (3 oz) pink lemonade or strawberry jello

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • ½ cup cold water

  • ½ cup whipped vodka or strawberry rum

Instructions

  1. Make the Bottom Layer:
In a heat-safe bowl, dissolve the orange or peach jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add pineapple juice, raspberry tea (or watermelon juice), optional guarana syrup, and coconut rum or peach vodka. Mix well.

  2. Chill the Bottom Layer:
Pour the mixture into mini 2 oz plastic cups, filling each about halfway. Place cups on a tray and refrigerate for 1 to 1.5 hours, until fully set.

  3. Prepare the Top Layer:
In a separate bowl, dissolve the pink lemonade or strawberry jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved, then add cold water and whipped vodka or strawberry rum. Let the mixture cool to room temperature (about 10–15 minutes).

  4. Add the Top Layer:
Gently pour the pink mixture over the set bottom layer in each cup, filling close to the rim.

  5. Final Chill:
Return to the refrigerator and chill for an additional 2–3 hours, or until fully firm. Serve cold straight from the cup!

Notes

  • Want extra flair? Add a tiny fruit piece (like a pineapple chunk or berry) in the top layer before chilling.

  • Use a squeeze bottle or spoon to layer neatly without disturbing the bottom.

  • Keep these chilled until serving—especially outdoors.

  • Make them up to 2 days ahead and store with lids in the fridge.

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace all alcohol with juice or lemon-lime soda.

  • Try swapping in blue raspberry or mango jello for fun color and flavor variations!
