Boozy Candy Grapes

Boozy Candy Grapes – Spiked Gelatin-Coated Party Pop-Ins

  • Author: Sam

Description

Boozy Candy Grapes are crisp green grapes soaked in a citrus vodka mix, then rolled in colorful flavored gelatin for a sweet, sour, and spiked candy-like coating. They’re perfect for parties, cookouts, and girls’ nights—easy to make, eye-catching on the tray, and wildly addictive! A no-bake, low-effort treat that adds instant fun to any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lbs green grapes, rinsed and dried

  • ½ cup vodka (plain or flavored – citrus or berry work best)

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup or agave (optional, for added sweetness)

For coating (dry gelatin powder, NOT prepared):

  • Raspberry gelatin powder

  • Lime gelatin powder

  • Lemon gelatin powder

  • Orange gelatin powder

  • Blueberry gelatin powder
(Choose 2–5 flavors for variety, or stick with your favorite!)

Instructions

  1. Soak the Grapes:
In a large bowl, combine vodka, lime juice, lemon juice, and optional sweetener. Add grapes and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2–4 hours, stirring once or twice.

  2. Drain and Prep:
Drain grapes thoroughly but don’t rinse them. Gently pat dry with paper towels—they should still be a little damp for the coating to stick.

  3. Coat with Gelatin Powder:
Pour each gelatin flavor onto a separate plate. Roll grapes in the powder until fully coated. For a variety pack, divide grapes into batches and use different flavors for each.

  4. Chill to Set:
Place coated grapes on a parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps the coating set and adds a fun candy crunch.

Notes

  • For extra sour flavor, add a pinch of citric acid to the gelatin powder.

  • To make a non-alcoholic version, use lemon-lime soda instead of vodka.

  • Freeze coated grapes for a crunchier, refreshing twist—great for hot days!

  • Best served the same day, but they’ll keep in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

  • Try using red or mixed grapes for more color and flavor variety.

  • These make a playful cocktail garnish or a unique addition to a party snack board.
