Boozy Jello Candy Melts – Cocktail Candy Bites with a Grown-Up Twist

  • Author: Sam

Description

These Boozy Jello Candy Melts are fruity, sugar-coated cocktail candy bites made with Jell-O, gelatin, and vodka—perfect for parties, edible gifts, or just a playful grown-up treat. They’re easy to make, endlessly customizable, and bring a fun pop of color and flavor to any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 oz) box flavored Jell-O (strawberry, lime, orange, etc.)

  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin (about 2 tablespoons)

  • ½ cup boiling water

  • ½ cup vodka (plain or flavored to match your Jell-O)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for coating)

  • Nonstick spray or neutral oil (for greasing molds)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your molds: Lightly grease silicone candy molds or mini ice cube trays with nonstick spray or neutral oil. Place them on a tray for easy transport.

  2. Mix the gelatin base: In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the Jell-O powder and unflavored gelatin.

  3. Dissolve the mix: Add ½ cup boiling water and stir well for about 2 minutes, until completely dissolved.

  4. Add the booze: Stir in ½ cup vodka, mixing until smooth and fully combined.

  5. Mold and chill: Carefully pour the mixture into your prepared molds. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  6. Unmold and coat: Gently remove candies from the molds and roll in granulated sugar for a classic candy finish.

Notes

  • Use silicone molds for easiest removal and the best candy shape.

  • Match your Jell-O and vodka flavors for fun combinations—try orange Jell-O with vanilla vodka for a Creamsicle twist!

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  • Sugar coat just before serving to avoid stickiness.

  • Want it non-alcoholic? Replace vodka with juice or water for a kid-friendly version.
