Cherry Rose Mudslide Shots

Cherry Rose Mudslide Shots: A Sweet and Creamy Party Shooter That Stuns

  • Author: Sam

Description

Cherry Rose Mudslide Shots are a sweet, creamy twist on the classic Mudslide, layered with coffee liqueur, Tequila Rose, and rich cream. They’re stunning in presentation, simple to make, and perfect for parties or a special dessert moment. A cherry on top makes them as playful as they are delicious—your guests will love every sip!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur (like Kahlúa)

  • 0.5 oz Tequila Rose (strawberry cream liqueur)

  • 0.5 oz half-and-half (or heavy cream for a richer version)

  • Ice (for chilling)

  • 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill the shot glass:
Place your shot glasses in the freezer for at least 5 minutes to help keep the layers neat and visually striking.

  2. Shake the cream layer:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the Tequila Rose and half-and-half. Shake well until the mixture is cold and slightly thickened.

  3. Layer the shot:
Pour the coffee liqueur into the bottom of the chilled shot glass. Then, using the back of a spoon, slowly pour the strawberry cream mixture on top to create beautiful layers.

  4. Garnish:
Top with a maraschino cherry, either on a cocktail pick or placed gently on the rim.

  5. Serve immediately:
These shots are best enjoyed fresh, while cold and perfectly layered.

Notes

  • For a richer texture, substitute heavy cream for the half-and-half.

  • The key to perfect layering is pouring slowly over the back of a spoon—patience makes it pretty!

  • Want to scale it up? Just multiply the ingredients and batch shake the cream layer for a whole tray of shots.

  • Pre-chill everything (even your liqueurs!) for extra crisp layers.

  • These are best served right away, but you can prep the cream layer in advance and store it chilled for up to 24 hours.
