Drunken Vodka Popsicle Slushie: A Boozy Rainbow Treat for Summer Vibes

  • Author: Sam

Description

Drunken Vodka Popsicle Slushie is the ultimate adult summer treat—colorful, icy layers of fruity popsicles, fresh fruit, and vodka. Perfect for backyard parties, girls’ night, or anytime you want a boozy twist on childhood nostalgia. Each layer is blended separately for a rainbow effect that’s as delicious as it is beautiful. Quick to make, endlessly customizable, and guaranteed to wow your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ice

  • 1 blue raspberry vodka popsicle (or 1 oz blue raspberry vodka + 1 blue popsicle)

  • 1 orange creamsicle-style vodka popsicle (or 1 oz orange vodka + 1 orange popsicle)

  • 1 red strawberry vodka popsicle (or 1 oz strawberry vodka + 1 red popsicle)

  • ½ cup fresh chopped fruit (strawberries, oranges, blueberries)

  • Optional: 2–3 oz extra vodka (any of the above flavors)

  • Optional: Simple syrup or grenadine, to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend the Red Layer:
In a blender, combine ⅓ cup of ice, the red popsicle (or 1 oz strawberry vodka + red popsicle), and a few chopped strawberries. Blend until smooth and thick like a slush. Set aside in the freezer.

  2. Blend the Orange Layer:
Rinse the blender. Add ⅓ cup of ice, the orange popsicle (or 1 oz orange vodka + orange popsicle), and chopped oranges. Blend into a slush. Set aside.

  3. Blend the Blue Layer:
Rinse the blender again. Blend the blue popsicle (or 1 oz blue raspberry vodka + blue popsicle), ⅓ cup ice, and a few blueberries. Blend until thick and scoopable.

  4. Layer the Slushie:
In a clear mason jar or glass, spoon the red strawberry slush into the bottom. Smooth it out gently. Add the orange layer next, then top with the blue raspberry layer.

  5. Garnish and Serve:
Top with extra fruit if you like. Swirl with a straw or drizzle grenadine for a tie-dye look. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon!

Notes

  • For stronger slushies, add 1 extra ounce of vodka to each color while blending.

  • Popsicles without alcohol work fine—just add flavored vodka to keep the kick.

  • Want to prep ahead? Blend each layer and store in small containers in the freezer. Thaw slightly before layering.

  • Don’t over-blend—slushy texture is key!

  • For a non-alcoholic version, use fruit juice instead of vodka and skip the booze in popsicles.

  • Chill your glasses before layering for longer-lasting slush texture.
