Ingredients

Scale

Bottom Layer (Espresso Layer):

  • 1 cup freshly brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 cup Kahlúa (coffee liqueur)
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin

Top Layer (Creamy Layer):

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla vodka
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin

Instructions

  • Prepare the Espresso Layer:
    • In a bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin over cooled espresso. Let it bloom for 2 minutes.
    • Add Kahlúa to the espresso mixture, stirring until the gelatin dissolves. (If needed, gently heat the mixture to fully dissolve gelatin.)
    • Pour into shot glasses or silicone molds, filling halfway. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
  • Prepare the Creamy Layer:
    • In a separate bowl, sprinkle 1 envelope of gelatin over sweetened condensed milk. Let it bloom for 2 minutes.
    • Stir in vanilla vodka until the gelatin dissolves completely. (Heat gently if needed.)
    • Carefully pour over the set espresso layer, filling molds to the rim. Chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Serve:
    • Garnish with chocolate-covered espresso beans or a sprinkle of cocoa powder for a sophisticated touch. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace Kahlúa with coffee syrup and vanilla vodka with cream soda or vanilla extract.
  • To create perfect layers, make sure the espresso layer is fully set before adding the creamy layer.
  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
