  • Author: Sam

Description

Florida Punch cocktail recipe packed with citrus sunshine, smooth dark rum, and a splash of cognac. This vibrant summer drink is easy to make, stunning to serve, and perfect for parties or lazy afternoons on the porch. Make a pitcher and bring the beach to your backyard!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark rum

  • ½ cup cognac

  • 1 cup orange juice (fresh-squeezed preferred)

  • ¾ cup grapefruit juice

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (fresh)

  • 12 tablespoons simple syrup (optional, to taste)

  • Ice

Garnishes (optional but highly encouraged!):

  • Pineapple wedges

  • Orange slices

  • Maraschino cherries

  • Fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher or cocktail shaker, combine the dark rum, cognac, orange juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).

  • Stir well or shake over ice until everything is chilled and beautifully blended.

  • Fill 4 glasses with fresh ice.

  • Pour the punch evenly into each glass.

  • Garnish with your choice of pineapple wedge, orange slice, cherry, or mint sprig for that signature Florida flair.

  • Serve immediately and soak in the tropical vibes!

Notes

  • Always use fresh citrus juice if you can—it makes a huge difference in flavor!

  • Adjust the simple syrup based on how sweet or tart your juices are.

  • For a lighter version, add a splash of sparkling water or club soda to each glass.

  • Want to prep ahead? Mix the punch base up to 24 hours in advance and keep it chilled (without ice or garnish) until ready to serve.

  • Leftovers? Freeze them into cocktail ice cubes or popsicles for a boozy treat tomorrow!
