Frozen Lemon Drop Slush

Frozen Lemon Drop Slush Recipe – A Sweet, Tangy, Grown-Up Treat

  • Author: Ethan

Description

Frozen Lemon Drop Slush is lemonade’s grown-up twist—zesty, sweet, and icy cold with citrus vodka and fresh fruit. This easy frozen cocktail is perfect for summer parties or solo sipping on the porch. Just blend, freeze, and serve! Anything but boring!!

Ingredients

Scale

Serves 4

  • 2 oz vodka (use citrus vodka for extra zing)

  • 1 oz triple sec (or another orange liqueur)

  • 2 oz lemonade (fresh-squeezed preferred)

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 12 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup ice (for blending)

  • Optional: sliced strawberries and lemon wheels, for garnish

  • Optional: sugar for rimming glasses

Instructions

  • Blend the Base
In a blender, combine vodka, triple sec, lemonade, water, sugar, and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy—like soft-serve in a glass.

  • Pour and Add Fruit
Divide the slush into small freezer-safe cups or mason jars. Drop in fresh fruit slices—strawberries and lemon wheels look beautiful!

  • Freeze
Cover the cups and freeze for at least 4–6 hours or overnight. They’ll firm up into a perfect spoonable texture.

  • Serve
Run a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in sugar if desired. Peel off the cover and enjoy straight from the jar or scoop into a glass and sip with a straw!

Notes

  • Mocktail Version: Skip the vodka and triple sec—use lemonade and a splash of orange juice instead. Kid-approved and just as tasty!

  • Make it Sparkle: Add a splash of lemon-lime soda just before serving for a fizzy finish.

  • Boozier Twist: Double the vodka for an extra-strong slush (but sip responsibly!).

  • Make-Ahead Tip: These freeze beautifully. Prep them the night before your gathering and they’re party-ready!

  • Serving Tip: Try garnishing with mint leaves or edible flowers for a pretty finish.
