Ingredients
For Each Layer (repeat for 3–5 colors):
1 box (3 oz) flavored gelatin (match to Jolly Rancher flavor: cherry, watermelon, blue raspberry, green apple, etc.)
1 cup boiling water
½ cup vodka
½ cup cold water
Optional – Jolly Rancher-Infused Vodka:
4–5 Jolly Rancher candies (same flavor as gelatin)
½ cup vodka
Additional (for garnish):
10–15 Jolly Rancher candies (crushed or whole)
Gummy cubes or sour candy bits
2 oz plastic shot cups or silicone molds
Instructions
(Optional) Infuse the Vodka:
Place 4–5 Jolly Ranchers into ½ cup vodka and let dissolve at room temperature for 2–4 hours. Stir occasionally, then strain before using.Make the First Jello Layer:
In a mixing bowl, dissolve 1 box of gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir for 2 full minutes until completely dissolved.
Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka (infused or plain). Mix well.Fill the Cups:
Pour a 1/3-inch layer into each shot cup or mold. Place them on a tray and refrigerate for 30–45 minutes or until fully set.Repeat for Remaining Layers:
Repeat steps 2–3 with each additional flavor. Allow each layer to cool slightly before pouring to avoid melting the one beneath. Chill each layer before adding the next.
Garnish and Serve:
Just before serving, top each shot with crushed candy, gummy cubes, or matching fruit for a colorful and fun finish.
Notes
Be patient! Let each layer fully set before adding the next to keep those lines clean and sharp.
Want more intense candy flavor? Use Jolly Rancher-infused vodka for a punch of fruity goodness in every bite.
These shots keep well in the fridge for up to 5 days—perfect for prepping ahead of a big event.
For neat pouring, try using a small pitcher, squeeze bottle, or turkey baster. It makes layering way easier (and cleaner!).
Avoid overloading with alcohol; too much vodka will prevent the Jello from setting properly.
