Ingredients
1 box (3 oz) lime-flavored Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
½ cup vodka (unflavored or citrus vodka)
½ cup triple sec
Optional: ¼ cup fresh lime juice (for extra citrus punch)
Lime wedges or wheels, for garnish
20–24 plastic 2 oz shot cups
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, pour in the lime Jell-O powder.
Add 1 cup of boiling water and stir continuously for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
Pour in the vodka, triple sec, and optional lime juice. Stir until well combined.
Set out 20–24 small plastic shot cups on a tray. Carefully pour the Jell-O mixture into the cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and chill for 2 to 4 hours, or until the Jello shots are fully set.
Just before serving, garnish each shot with a small lime wedge or wheel, if desired.
Notes
For best results, chill your alcohol before mixing—it helps the Jell-O set faster.
Don’t exceed 1 cup of total alcohol, or the shots may not firm up properly.
To make a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka and triple sec with lemon-lime soda or citrus juice.
Keep the shots refrigerated and consume within 3–5 days for best taste and texture.
Want to mix things up? Try lemon or orange Jell-O, or use flavored vodka for a twist.
