Melon Ballsfest cocktail

Melon Ballsfest – Sweet, Bubbly & Barely Behaving

  • Author: Sam

Description

Melon Ballsfest cocktail is your new poolside essential—bright, fruity, and loaded with juicy melon balls soaked in peachy spirits and bubbly Moscato. It’s a gorgeous, make-ahead punch that’s perfect for summer parties, brunches, or anytime you want to impress with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup watermelon balls

  • 1 cup cantaloupe balls

  • 1 cup honeydew balls

  • 1 lime, sliced into wheels

  • 1 cup strawberries, halved or whole

  • 1 cup peach vodka

  • ½ cup peach schnapps

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) Moscato wine, chilled

  • ½ cup lemon-lime soda or sparkling water (optional, for extra fizz)

  • Ice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  • Scoop the melon: Use a melon baller to create 1 cup each of watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew balls.

  • Build the base: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the melon balls, strawberries, and lime slices. Stir gently.

  • Add the alcohol: Pour in peach vodka and peach schnapps. Stir, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the fruit soak in all the flavor.

  • Finish with fizz: Just before serving, add the chilled Moscato. For added sparkle, pour in lemon-lime soda or sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.

  • Serve and enjoy: Ladle into glasses, making sure to include plenty of fruit in each serving. Garnish with a lime wheel or a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

  • Want it sweeter? Add a splash of pineapple juice or white grape juice before serving.

  • To serve in style, pour the drink into a hollowed-out watermelon for a tropical punch bowl effect.

  • Make it non-alcoholic by replacing the spirits with peach nectar and using white grape juice instead of wine.

  • Freeze extra melon balls to use as flavorful ice cubes that won’t water down your cocktail.

  • This drink is best served fresh but can be stored (without soda added) in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
