Quick to blend, beautiful to serve, and dangerously sippable—this slushy cocktail is anything but boring!
Ingredients
Serves 2–3
3 oz melon liqueur (like Midori)
2 oz vodka
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 cup sour mix (premade or homemade)
¾ cup lemon-lime soda (frozen into cubes or chilled)
2 cups crushed ice
Optional Garnishes:
Lime wheel
Maraschino cherry
Extra sour mix or lime zest for added tartness
Instructions
Freeze the soda (optional but fun!)
Pour lemon-lime soda into ice cube trays and freeze for a few hours or overnight for that classic slushy texture.Blend it all up
Add the melon liqueur, vodka, lime juice, sour mix, frozen lemon-lime soda (or regular crushed ice), and 2 cups of crushed ice to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and icy.Taste and tweak
Add more lime juice for extra tartness, more crushed ice for thickness, or top with a splash of lemon-lime soda if you want a bubbly lift.Serve it up
Pour the slush into glasses immediately—it melts fast! This drink is best enjoyed fresh.
Garnish and enjoy
Add a lime wheel to the rim and drop in a maraschino cherry. For a zingy kick, a little lime zest on top never hurts!
Notes
Make it stronger: Boost the vodka to 3 oz and reduce the soda.
Make it lighter: Skip the vodka and enjoy the Midori flavor with soda and lime.
No blender? Use crushed ice and shake everything in a cocktail shaker for a chilled drink—just not quite a slush.
For a crowd: Double or triple the ingredients and blend in batches. Keep frozen until ready to serve.
Non-alcoholic version: Swap Midori for melon syrup and skip the vodka. Blend with lemonade and soda for a sweet mocktail twist.
