  • Author: Ethan

Description

Zesty, fizzy, and neon-green fun in every scoop—this Mountain Dew Ice Cream is a no-churn, no-fuss dessert that tastes like your favorite soda frozen into creamy bliss. With a whipped cream base and a splash of real Mountain Dew, this treat is tart, sweet, and packed with citrusy energy. Perfect for summer parties, nostalgic cravings, or just something wildly different and fun!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Mountain Dew (cold, not flat)

  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon or lime zest (optional, for a citrus kick)

  • Neon green food coloring (optional, for vibrant color)

  • Candy bits or popping candy (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream using a hand or stand mixer until soft peaks form.

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and Mountain Dew. Stir in the lemon or lime zest and food coloring, if using.

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the Mountain Dew mixture using a rubber spatula. Mix until just combined and smooth, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

  • Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and smooth the top. Cover tightly.

  • Freeze for 5–6 hours, or until firm.

  • Scoop and serve in cones or bowls. Top with candy sprinkles or popping candy for a fun, fizzy finish.

Notes

  • Use cold ingredients for the best whipped texture.

  • Add food coloring sparingly; a few drops go a long way for that neon green pop.

  • For a flavor boost, add a splash of lime juice or citrus extract.

  • Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping for easier serving.

  • Store in the freezer, covered tightly, for up to 2 weeks.
