Northern Lights Cocktail: A Stunning Galaxy-Inspired Drink with Fruity Lemon Flavor

  • Author: Sam

Description

A stunning layered Northern Lights Cocktail that’s bursting with fruity lemon and blueberry flavors. Inspired by the shimmering aurora borealis, this showstopping drink is perfect for parties, photos, and sipping something totally out of this world. Quick to assemble, dazzling to look at, and refreshingly tart with a hint of sweetness—this one’s a keeper for your cocktail nights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 oz Smirnoff Sours Berry Lemon

  • 1 oz Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka

  • 1/2 can Red Bull Blue Edition (blueberry flavor)

  • Fresh blueberries (for garnish)

  • 1 lemon wedge (for garnish)

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prep your glass
Fill a tall, clear glass with ice. Drop in a few fresh blueberries—these little guys look like stars floating in a galaxy. So pretty!

  2. Add your vodka base
Pour in 1 oz of Smirnoff Sours Berry Lemon, followed by 1 oz of Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka. These bright citrus notes make the foundation for this layered beauty.

  3. Pour the magic (layer the Red Bull)
Slowly pour in about 1/2 can of Red Bull Blue Edition. Use the back of a spoon or pour gently down the inside of the glass to keep that gorgeous ombré effect.

  4. Garnish and serve immediately
Add a lemon wedge to the rim and toss in a few more blueberries on top. Snap a photo before the layers begin to blend—trust me, it’s worth it!

Notes

  • Clear ice is key for the most dramatic layered look. If you’ve got a clear ice mold, now’s the time to show off.

  • Want to go next-level? Freeze tonic water into ice cubes and serve under a blacklight for a glowing galaxy vibe.

  • Chill your Red Bull and vodkas ahead of time—cold ingredients help the layers stay crisp and distinct.

  • Planning a party? Pre-mix the vodka base in a bottle and slice your lemon wedges early. Then just layer and garnish when it’s time to serve.

  • This drink is best enjoyed right away. The colors will eventually blend, but the flavor stays just as bright and zingy!
