Description
Ocean Blue Piña Colada is a vibrant twist on the classic frozen cocktail—blending pineapple, cream of coconut, white rum, and blue curaçao for a beachy drink that looks like the sea and tastes like vacation. It’s creamy, fruity, refreshing, and perfect for summer parties or whenever you’re craving a tropical escape in a glass.
Ingredients
-
1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
-
2 oz cream of coconut (like Coco López – not coconut cream or coconut milk)
-
3 oz pineapple juice
-
2 oz white rum
-
1 oz blue curaçao
-
1 to 1½ cups ice (adjust to desired slushiness)
-
Optional garnish: whipped cream, maraschino cherry, cocktail umbrella
Instructions
-
Add pineapple chunks, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, white rum, blue curaçao, and ice to a high-speed blender.
-
Blend until smooth and slushy. Add more ice for a thicker texture, or more juice to thin it out.
-
Pour into a chilled hurricane or tall glass.
-
Garnish with whipped cream, a cherry, and an umbrella for that tropical flair.
-
Serve immediately and enjoy your mini beach getaway—no passport required!
Notes
-
For a non-alcoholic version, skip the rum and use coconut water or more pineapple juice instead.
-
If you don’t have blue curaçao, sub in triple sec with a drop or two of blue food coloring.
-
Frozen pineapple makes the drink thicker and extra frosty.
-
Make it extra indulgent with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a splash of coconut milk.
