Ocean Blue Piña Colada

Ocean Blue Piña Colada Recipe – A Tropical Frozen Cocktail Dream

  • Author: Sam

Description

Ocean Blue Piña Colada is a vibrant twist on the classic frozen cocktail—blending pineapple, cream of coconut, white rum, and blue curaçao for a beachy drink that looks like the sea and tastes like vacation. It’s creamy, fruity, refreshing, and perfect for summer parties or whenever you’re craving a tropical escape in a glass.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)

  • 2 oz cream of coconut (like Coco López – not coconut cream or coconut milk)

  • 3 oz pineapple juice

  • 2 oz white rum

  • 1 oz blue curaçao

  • 1 to cups ice (adjust to desired slushiness)

  • Optional garnish: whipped cream, maraschino cherry, cocktail umbrella

Instructions

  • Add pineapple chunks, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, white rum, blue curaçao, and ice to a high-speed blender.

  • Blend until smooth and slushy. Add more ice for a thicker texture, or more juice to thin it out.

  • Pour into a chilled hurricane or tall glass.

  • Garnish with whipped cream, a cherry, and an umbrella for that tropical flair.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy your mini beach getaway—no passport required!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, skip the rum and use coconut water or more pineapple juice instead.

  • If you don’t have blue curaçao, sub in triple sec with a drop or two of blue food coloring.

  • Frozen pineapple makes the drink thicker and extra frosty.

  • Make it extra indulgent with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a splash of coconut milk.

  • Leftovers? Freeze in an ice cube tray and re-blend later for a quick tropical fix!
