Ocean Love Colada (Adults Only!)

  • Author: Sam

Description

This Ocean Love Colada is a frozen tropical cocktail that’s as pretty as it is powerful—swirled with blueberry purée, spiked with coconut rum and blue curaçao, and blended into a thick, beachy slush. It’s bold, fruity, sweet, and just the thing to make any moment feel like a mini vacation. Whether you’re sipping poolside or shaking off a long day, this cocktail brings sunshine to your glass. Serve in a fun glass, top with whipped cream or edible glitter, and enjoy every boozy, beautiful sip!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz coconut rum

  • 1 oz blue curaçao

  • 3 oz pineapple juice

  • 1½ oz coconut cream (like Coco Lopez)

  • 1½ cups crushed ice

  • 2 tbsp blueberry purée or syrup (for swirl)

  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, tropical fruit, or edible glitter

Instructions

  • Blend the base
In a blender, combine coconut rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and crushed ice. Blend until thick and slushy.

  • Swirl with blueberry
Spoon blueberry purée along the inside walls of your serving glass for that signature ocean swirl.

  • Pour & drizzle
Slowly pour the slushy mixture into the glass. Top with a drizzle of blue curaçao for vibrant color and citrusy zing.

  • Garnish & serve
Add a swirl of whipped cream, sprinkle of glitter, or tropical fruit slice if you’re feeling fancy. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

  • No coconut rum? Sub white rum and a dash of coconut extract.

  • Want a non-alcoholic version? Use coconut milk and blue sports drink or syrup instead of the alcohol.

  • Make ahead tip: Freeze the slushy base and re-blend with a splash of juice when ready to serve.

  • Blueberry alternatives: Raspberry or blackberry purée work great too.

  • Chill your glasses first for the best frosty finish!
