Party Neon Lime Jello Shots Recipe: Bright, Boozy, and Bold

  • Author: Sam

Description

Bright, bold, and party-perfect, these Party Neon Lime Jello Shots are the ultimate crowd-pleaser for summer nights, beach bashes, or neon-themed gatherings. Made with lime Jell-O, lemon-lime soda, and vodka, these vibrant shots are easy to prep, make ahead, and customize. Garnish with gummy candy or sour sugar for a fun twist everyone will be talking about. A total vibe in every cup!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 oz / 85g) box lime-flavored Jell-O

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • ½ cup cold lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)

  • ½ cup vodka (plain, citrus, or lime-flavored)

  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons sour apple schnapps (for extra tartness)

  • Garnishes (choose one or mix it up!):

    • Thin lime slices

    • Gummy candy (rings, worms, bears)

    • Sour sugar or citric acid crystals for rimming

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the lime Jell-O powder into 1 cup of boiling water for about 2 minutes, until fully dissolved.

  • Let the mixture cool slightly (around 5 minutes), then stir in ½ cup cold lemon-lime soda and ½ cup vodka. If using, add 1–2 tablespoons of sour apple schnapps here.

  • Carefully pour the mixture into 2 oz plastic shot cups or mini dessert cups, filling about ¾ full. A funnel or measuring cup with a spout helps keep it neat!

  • Place the filled cups on a tray and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, or until fully set.

  • Just before serving, garnish with lime slices, gummies, or rim the edges with sour sugar for that extra pop!

Notes

  • For best results, chill your soda and vodka before mixing—it helps the shots set faster and keeps the texture smooth.

  • Want to make a non-alcoholic version? Just swap the vodka with more soda or white grape juice for a fun kid-friendly twist.

  • These shots keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. Cover with lids or plastic wrap to keep them fresh.

  • Feeling creative? Try different Jell-O flavors or flavored vodkas to match your party theme. Green apple Jell-O with caramel vodka? Yes please!
