Ingredients
1 (3 oz) box strawberry or pink lemonade Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
½ cup cold water
½ cup vodka (whipped cream or berry vodka recommended)
Green sanding sugar (for garnish – aka “Patrick’s shorts”)
Optional: Whipped cream or sour gummies for topping
12–14 small (2 oz) plastic shot cups
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, pour in the Jell-O powder. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir for 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Stir in ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka. Mix well to combine.
Carefully pour the liquid into shot cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Place the cups on a tray and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
Just before serving, dip the tops of each shot cup into a shallow dish of water or lightly brush with simple syrup.
Immediately dip into green sanding sugar to create Patrick’s “shorts.”
Optional: Top each shot with whipped cream or a small sour gummy.
Serve chilled and enjoy the laughs and compliments!
Notes
Make these a day ahead for easy entertaining!
Don’t exceed ½ cup vodka or the shots may not set properly.
Use a pouring cup or squeeze bottle for cleaner, faster filling.
Store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka with cold water or fruit juice.
Add garnish just before serving to keep the sugar shorts crisp and colorful.
