Pink Starburst Shot Recipe – Sweet & Fruity Party Favorite

  • Author: Ethan

Description

This Pink Starburst Shot recipe is a sweet and fruity party favorite that tastes just like the iconic pink Starburst candy—only with a fun, grown-up twist! Made with vanilla vodka, watermelon schnapps, and sweet & sour mix, it’s quick to shake up and perfect for bachelorettes, birthdays, or any celebration. Rimmed with pink sugar and topped with an actual Starburst, this shot is as pretty as it is playful. A total crowd-pleaser you’ll want to make again and again!

Ingredients

Scale

Makes 2 shots

  • 1 oz vanilla vodka

  • 1 oz watermelon schnapps

  • 1 oz sweet & sour mix

  • Corn syrup (for rimming)

  • Pink sanding sugar or sprinkles (for rimming)

  • Pink Starburst (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Rim: Pour a little corn syrup onto a small plate. Dip the rims of your shot glasses into the syrup, then roll them in pink sanding sugar or sprinkles until fully coated. Set aside.

  • Mix the Shot: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vanilla vodka, watermelon schnapps, and sweet & sour mix.

  • Shake It Up: Shake well for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is frosty and the mix is thoroughly chilled.

  • Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture evenly into the prepared shot glasses.

  • Garnish: Place a pink Starburst on the rim or skewer it with a cocktail pick for a fun, candy-inspired finish.

Notes

  • No watermelon schnapps? Sub with strawberry or peach schnapps, or even watermelon juice with a bit of simple syrup.

  • Want it creamy? Add a splash of half & half or try it with whipped cream vodka for a milkshake vibe.

  • Hosting a crowd? This recipe easily scales—just mix in larger quantities and shake in batches.

  • Non-alcoholic version: Replace the alcohol with watermelon juice, lemon-lime soda, and a drop of vanilla extract for a kid-friendly twist.

  • Presentation tip: Chill your shot glasses in the freezer beforehand for that perfect icy finish.
