Non-alcoholic by default and easy to spike for adults, this eye-catching punch is perfect for summer parties, BBQs, and holiday celebrations. It’s chilled, fizzy, and guaranteed to be the centerpiece of your drink table!
Ingredients
Layer 1 – Blue (Bottom)
2 cups blue punch (Blue Hawaiian Punch, blue raspberry Kool-Aid, or blue sports drink)
Ice (enough to fill the bottom third of your drink dispenser)
Layer 2 – White/Clear (Middle)
Crushed ice
1 can lemon-lime soda or coconut-flavored sparkling water
Layer 3 – Red (Top)
2 cups raspberry lemonade or strawberry punch
(Optional) ½ cup grenadine for a deeper red hue
More ice (to top and lock in layers)
Optional – Adults Only
1 to 1½ oz vodka or white rum per serving (mix into red layer or individual glasses)
Instructions
Chill all ingredients for at least a few hours before assembling. This helps keep the layers clean and crisp.
Start with the blue layer: Pour blue punch into the bottom of a large clear drink dispenser or punch bowl. Fill the bottom third with ice.
Add the white/clear layer: Layer crushed ice over the blue punch. Slowly pour lemon-lime soda or coconut sparkling water over the back of a spoon so it floats gently on top.
Add the red layer: Add more crushed ice, then carefully pour raspberry lemonade (mixed with grenadine if using) over the back of a spoon to float it above the soda layer.
Top it off with ice to lock in the layers and keep everything icy cold.
Garnish and serve with fresh berries, festive straws, or drink umbrellas for extra flair. Serve chilled with a ladle or spouted dispenser.
Notes
For best results, use crushed or nugget ice between each layer to create a visual barrier and prevent colors from mixing.
Always pour liquids slowly over the back of a spoon—this is the secret to clean separation!
Chill your ingredients thoroughly before building your punch. Warm liquids = blended colors.
Want to go single-serve? You can absolutely layer this punch in tall clear glasses instead of a dispenser.
To make it boozy, stir in vodka or white rum just before serving or into individual glasses.
Layering success depends on sugar content. Heavier (sugar-rich) drinks go on the bottom; lighter ones float on top.
Store leftovers in the fridge—but note that the layers will eventually blend over time.
