  • Author: Sam

Description

This raspberry margarita recipe is a fruity, tangy twist on the classic! It’s bursting with fresh raspberry flavor, zesty lime juice, and smooth tequila for a vibrant cocktail that’s as easy to make as it is gorgeous to serve. Whether you’re sipping solo or mixing up a batch for friends, this drink is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Shake one up and enjoy a refreshing splash of summer in every glass!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila (silver or reposado)

  • 1 oz triple sec (orange liqueur)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 1 oz raspberry syrup or ¼ cup muddled fresh raspberries

  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

  • Crushed ice

  • Sugar or salt (for rimming the glass)

Garnish:

  • Lime wheel

  • Fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita or rocks glass. Dip the rim into sugar or salt. Set aside.

  2. Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, raspberry syrup or muddled berries, and simple syrup (if using).

  3. Shake: Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

  4. Serve: Fill the prepared glass with crushed ice and strain the margarita into the glass.

  5. Garnish: Top with a lime wheel and a few fresh raspberries. Serve immediately!

Notes

  • Fresh vs. syrup: You can use either raspberry syrup or muddled fresh raspberries. Syrup gives a smoother finish, while fresh berries add natural flavor and texture.

  • Make it spicy: Muddle a slice of jalapeño with the raspberries for a spicy-sweet twist.

  • Batch it: Multiply ingredients and stir in a large pitcher to serve a crowd—just shake individual servings with ice before pouring.

  • Low sugar option: Skip the simple syrup if you prefer a tangier, less sweet margarita.

  • Double strain: If using fresh berries, strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother drink.
