Rum and Cherry Coke Jello Shots are a playful, boozy twist on the classic soda fountain combo. With cherry gelatin, fizzy Coca-Cola, and rich spiced rum, each shot is sweet, bold, and perfect for parties, tailgates, or just a fun weekend treat. Topped with maraschino cherries and whipped cream, they look as good as they taste. Try them once, and they’ll be your new go-to party favorite!
Ingredients
2 (3 oz) packs cherry gelatin
1½ cups Coca-Cola, divided
1 cup dark or spiced rum
Maraschino cherries (1 per shot)
Optional: Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring 1 cup of Coca-Cola to a light simmer. Do not let it boil.
Remove from heat and whisk in the cherry gelatin until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
Let the mixture cool for 5–10 minutes to avoid evaporating the alcohol.
Stir in 1 cup of rum and the remaining ½ cup of cold Coca-Cola.
Carefully pour the mixture into plastic shot cups or silicone molds, filling each about ¾ full.
Drop one maraschino cherry into each shot for garnish.
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until fully set.
Top with whipped cream before serving, if desired.
Notes
Want a stronger cherry flavor? Try swapping ¼ cup of the rum with cherry liqueur.
Use a measuring cup with a spout to pour neatly into shot cups or molds.
For a sugar-reduced version, use diet cola and sugar-free gelatin.
Best enjoyed chilled and within 5 days. Do not freeze.
