Spiked Kool-Aid Pineapple Rings

Spiked Kool-Aid Pineapple Rings – Boozy Candy Fruit Bites

  • Author: Sam

Description

Spiked Kool-Aid Pineapple Rings are juicy, vibrant fruit bites soaked in sweet Kool-Aid syrup and a splash of booze—perfect for parties, cocktails, and summer gatherings. They’re candy-colored, no-bake, wildly fun, and way too easy to make ahead. Serve them chilled, frozen, or skewered for a snack that’s anything but ordinary!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple rings in juice, drained and patted dry (or fresh pineapple rings)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 23 packets Kool-Aid powder (different flavors for variety)

  • ½ to 1 cup vodka, white rum, coconut rum, or other flavored alcohol (optional)

  • Optional: extra Kool-Aid powder or sour candy dust for coating

Instructions

  • Make the Kool-Aid Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in Kool-Aid powder (1 packet per syrup batch, or divide into smaller batches for different flavors).

  • Prep the Pineapple:
Drain the pineapple rings and gently pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the syrup stick better and keeps the flavors bold.

  • Soak the Rings:
Place pineapple rings into bowls or containers. If using multiple Kool-Aid flavors, separate the rings accordingly. Pour the warm Kool-Aid syrup over the pineapple until fully submerged. Add 1–2 tablespoons (or up to ¼ cup) of alcohol per container. Cover and let soak in the fridge for at least 4–6 hours or overnight for deeper flavor and color.

  • Chill and Serve:
Use tongs to gently remove the rings. Serve chilled, on skewers, frozen, or as a bright and boozy cocktail garnish!

Notes

  • Use fresh pineapple for a firmer bite and extra natural sweetness.

  • Skip the alcohol for a kid-friendly version—just as fun and fruity!

  • Want extra zing? Toss the soaked rings in Kool-Aid powder or sour candy dust just before serving.

  • Storage tip: Keep refrigerated for up to 5 days, or freeze for a fun semi-frozen treat.

  • Flavor idea: Cherry Kool-Aid + coconut rum = tropical punch heaven.

  • These are perfect for serving at BBQs, beach days, and poolside parties. Make ahead and let the flavors shine!
