Spiked Ombre Lemonade

Spiked Ombre Lemonade – Frozen Summer Cocktail

  • Author: Sam

Description

This Spiked Ombre Lemonade is a frozen summer cocktail with bold mango and strawberry layers that create a stunning yellow-to-red ombre effect. It’s fruity, refreshing, and guaranteed to turn heads at your next pool day or patio party. Sweet mango meets tangy strawberry with a splash of vodka in this icy slush-style drink that’s as fun to make as it is to sip!

Ingredients

Scale

Mango-Lemonade Bottom Layer (Serves 2–3):

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks

  • ½ cup lemonade

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 cup ice

Strawberry Top Layer:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and chopped

  • 1 oz lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

  • 1½ oz vodka

  • ½ cup ice

Optional Garnishes:

  • Lemon slices

  • Fresh or frozen strawberries

  • Mint sprigs

Instructions

  • Blend the Mango-Lemonade Bottom Layer:
In a blender, combine frozen mango, lemonade, vodka, and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy. Pour into glasses, filling each about ⅔ full. Freeze glasses for 10–15 minutes to firm up the layer.

  • Blend the Strawberry Top Layer:
Rinse the blender. Add strawberries, lemon juice (if using), vodka, and ice. Blend until thick and smooth.

  • Layer the Cocktail:
Carefully spoon or pour the strawberry layer over the mango base. For clean layers, pour slowly over the back of a spoon.

  • Garnish and Serve:
Top with lemon slices, strawberries, and mint. Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail spoon and enjoy that gradient magic!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka with coconut water, sparkling lemonade, or lemon-lime soda.

  • Use frozen fruit for both layers to keep that perfect slushy texture—fresh fruit will water it down.

  • Want a sweeter sip? Add a touch of honey or simple syrup to the strawberry layer.

  • To enhance the ombre effect, make sure the bottom layer is semi-frozen before adding the top layer.

  • Chill your serving glasses in advance for a longer-lasting slush and better presentation!
