Ingredients
1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin (such as Jello)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup whipped cream (optional, for topping or folding in)
1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, pour the boiling water over the strawberry gelatin. Stir well for about 2 minutes, or until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
Add the cold water and stir to combine.
Gently fold in the sliced fresh strawberries.
If using, add mini marshmallows and gently mix them in.
Pour the mixture into a large serving bowl or individual cups.
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until fully set.
Before serving, top with whipped cream and extra strawberries or marshmallows if desired.
Notes
Fresh strawberries give the best texture and flavor, but thawed frozen berries can be used if well-drained.
For a creamy twist, fold whipped cream into the gelatin before chilling to create a mousse-like texture.
Avoid using fresh pineapple or kiwi—these fruits contain enzymes that can prevent the gelatin from setting properly.
