Swedish Fish Shot recipe

Swedish Fish Shot Recipe: Candy Chaos in a Glass

  • Author: Sam

Description

This Swedish Fish Shot recipe is a candy-inspired party shooter that brings bold red color and sweet nostalgia to any celebration. Made with cherry and strawberry vodka, fruit punch, and a splash of grenadine, it tastes just like the classic gummy candy we all love. Quick to shake up and even easier to enjoy—it’s a shot that brings instant fun to the table!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ oz strawberry vodka

  • ½ oz cherry vodka

  • 1 oz fruit punch (store-bought or homemade)

  • Splash of grenadine

  • Ice (for shaking)

  • Swedish Fish candy, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  • Add the strawberry vodka, cherry vodka, fruit punch, and grenadine.

  • Shake well for 10–15 seconds until chilled.

  • Strain into two shot glasses.

  • Garnish each shot with a Swedish Fish candy—either pressed gently onto the rim or skewered on a cocktail pick.

Notes

  • No strawberry vodka? Raspberry or mixed berry vodka will still bring that sweet candy vibe.

  • You can swap fruit punch with cranberry or cherry juice if you prefer a more tart finish.

  • Want to make it a cocktail? Triple the recipe and serve over ice in a rocks glass—top with soda for a fizzy twist.

  • These are best served fresh and ice-cold, so shake and shoot right away!

  • Hosting a bigger crowd? Pre-batch the liquids in a pitcher, chill, and shake smaller servings to order.
