Description
This Vodka Verde Cocktail is a zesty, beautifully green citrus-berry drink made with fresh grapes, lemon liqueur, vodka, and pineapple juice. It’s light, refreshing, and naturally sweetened—perfect for warm days, brunches, or happy hour on the patio. Made in minutes with fresh ingredients and minimal tools, this cocktail is anything but boring!
Ingredients
-
2 oz vodka (like Danzka, Tito’s, or any neutral vodka)
-
½ oz lemon liqueur (Limoncello works perfectly)
-
5 green grapes (plus more for garnish)
-
½ oz fresh lime juice
-
½ oz simple syrup
-
1 oz pineapple juice
-
Ice (for shaking and serving)
-
Optional garnishes: mint sprig, lime wedge, or green grapes on a skewer
Instructions
-
Muddle the grapes
In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle 5 green grapes until they release their juice. Add the fresh lime juice and simple syrup to help extract more flavor. -
Add spirits and juice
Pour in the vodka, lemon liqueur, and pineapple juice. Fill the shaker with ice. -
Shake it up
Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, or until the shaker is chilled to the touch. -
Strain and serve
Double strain the cocktail into a tall glass filled with ice, using a fine mesh strainer to catch grape skins and pulp.
-
Garnish
Add a mint sprig, lime wedge, or a skewer of green grapes for a bright, beautiful presentation.
Notes
-
For a bubbly twist, top with club soda or sparkling water after straining.
-
No grapes? Swap in 1 oz of white grape juice for a similar flavor profile—great for batching.
-
Want it alcohol-free? Omit the vodka and liqueur, and use extra pineapple juice plus a splash of white grape juice or soda water.
-
Make it yours by muddling a basil leaf with the grapes for an herbaceous variation.
-
Always double strain to ensure a smooth, clean drink—no one wants grape bits in their sip!
